Born and raised in Florida, Ed Slater dedicated his life to music. Over a professional career spanning more than 40 years, he performed with renowned groups including The Platters and The Classics IV, as well as numerous pop groups throughout the United States and Scandinavia, particularly Sweden.

Ed performed at restaurants, lounges, private parties, luncheons, and countless other venues, delighting audiences with his versatility and love of music. His repertoire included country, doo-wop, Broadway, Motown, and a wide variety of ethnic music, including Jewish, Italian, French, and Spanish favorites.

With a repertoire of more than 2,000 songs, Ed's passion for music knew few limits. He recorded several CDs during his career and was signed by Playback Records in the United States and Val Verket Records in Sweden.

Whether performing professionally or simply enjoying a night of karaoke, Ed found his greatest joy behind a microphone, sharing music, laughter, and unforgettable moments with everyone around him.
